perfection, gorgeousness, the sweetest couple ever (I could repeat that part a couple times over)… These are all things that would describe Erin and John’s beautiful wedding at the Nines in Portland. It was a classic affair, planned to perfection by the beautiful ladies over at Blush Bridal. Erin was such an elegant bride and I’ll never forget the way her father looked at her during the father/daughter dance, my heart melted. I loved that John and his entourage of men were so ready to cel-e-BRATE, complete with dance floor cameras attached to their chests. And I was amazed at how the heavens smiled on us and the January rain clouds broke to reveal warm sunlight as we headed to the roof for their first look. It was an amazing day and every memory of being there with them makes me smile. They are individually both so strong, intelligent, and competent, but when you see them together and the way he looks at her and they just fit, like they were meant to be partners in life. Erin and John are a true-love-best-friend kind of pair, being around their love is like feeling wrapped up in a security blanket; it’s sweet, quiet, and comfortable. And it was a joy to capture that for them on this day. I hope you enjoy looking through their photos. xoxo

Carly and Robert put the FUN in Wedding Reception. Wait there’s no f-u-n in spelling wedding reception? Well there is now after this one… Wedding Recepfun… ok, that was awkward. They reminded me what it was like to celebrate so hard it hurts.
First of all, these two are loved so deeply by those around them. The Ceremony and Reception were held in neighboring back yards; Carly’s childhood home as well as their across-the-street neighbors from growing up. There was a deep support system surrounding them, and it was amazing to see that everyone present was so proud of these two and the lives they’ve forged together in New York and now Boston (remember their engagement session in New York City? SO fun). But when the tear jerking toasts were finished, these guys got DOWN.
Favorite moments: Call me baby induced hysteria, everyone getting in a huge circle arm and arm singing at the top of their lungs, and dance battles, serious dance battles.
Thank you guys so much for inviting me to dance it out with you all. I’m expecting a call for the 5 year reunion bash!! xoxo

I have a habit of falling in love with the couples I photograph. Something about seeing and calling out the beauty in each person endears them to my heart forever and I’m feel so blessed that my work allows me to connect with and make lifelong friends at every turn. Cloud and Trisha though are on another level. I know many agree with me on this, as attested to by the hour long toasting session that poured out of their closest friends and family that were present during the celebration, but these two are two of the most genuine, fun, loving, and all around awesome people I’ve met. I’m beyond honored to have captured this day for them. They are so full of unconditional love and appreciation for each other and those around them, and that spilled over to the energy of the whole day.
The day started at the Trisha’s childhood home in Corvallis, where the reception would be later. Everything was focused around family, especially making if fun for the kids (Cloud’s 2 beautiful children believed the day was about ALL of them marrying Trisha, which I think in everyone’s hearts was right on anyway). The Ceremony was held out in the country in a tiny old white chapel, where they were joined by about 30 of their close family members. The ceremony was intimate and sweet, a perfect uniting of the two, followed by an equally sweet gelato bar to help everyone endure the freak 95-degree weather that day. Cloud and Trisha headed back to the house to be greeted by their best friends and share a huge family style meal on the lawn, and an all vinyl soul and old school hip hop dance party around the pool. It.was.magical. Oh and did I mention everyone jumped in the pool afterward… Awwww Yeaaaahhh!
I love you guys so much, thank you for letting me share in your joy and celebrate your love with you. The connection between you two is one in a million.
